India, Turkmenistan sign 7 agreements
India and Turkmenistan today inked seven agreements in fields of science & technology, sports, tourism, defence and several other important sectors.
While addressing a joint statement with Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, the Prime Minister said that the long standing, deep rooted civilization ties between the two countries are well known and that it has created sense of goodwill between people of the two nations.
Earlier, on arrival in Turkmenistan’s capital Ashgabat, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi was accorded ceremonial welcome at the presidential palace.
Later, the delegation level talks were held between the two sides. Another important engagement of the Prime Minister would be to unveil Bust of Mahatma Gandhi and inauguration of a centre of Traditional Medicine and Yoga at the Massive Sports Complex.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi met President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.Both the sides exchanged views as to how the bilateral relations between India and Turkmenistan can be Strengthened.
