Popular Kannada cine actor Bullet Prakash joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in Bengaluru on Thursday.
Mr. Prakash, who has acted in 325 films as comedian, joined the party in the presence of former deputy chief minister R. Ashok.
After joining the Party, Mr. Prakash told The Hindu that the BJP was a natural choice for him as his mother Gowramma had been associated with the party as its worker for over 25 years.
“I did not enter politics earlier as my entire focus was on cinema. However, now I feel that time has come for me to identify myself with a political organisation,” said the 39-year-old actor. He said he wants to work as an active party worker.
When asked if he had set his eyes on contesting any polls, he only said he was ready for it provided the party wants him to do so.
