Kidnapped girl from labourer colony returns home
Udupi : One of the two girls who went missing from their house on Tuesday, February 17 returned home on Monday morning, February 23.
According to the sources, Kanamma, daughter of Muttu Swamy returned to her colony located in Pamboor. Meanwhile another girl Shailini, daughter of Krishnappa is still said to be missing.
Kanamma (15) narrated that she along with Shailini was pushed into a car on February 17 and were taken to Mysuru. Though she managed to reach Udupi after escaping the kidnappers, Shalini is still said to be in Mysuru.
Shirva police who are investigating the case have recorded the statements of Kanamma and have set a search for the kidnappers.
Based on the complaint filed by parents of missing girls, Raghavendra, one of the migrant labourer has been suspected of kidnapping girls as he was trying to be friendly with girls. Even he is said to be absconding from the colony after the girls went missing.
